            Scientific data underpins all aspects of Deedster's products and services. For us, it goes without saying that our climate action platform is deeply rooted in science, but we’re more than happy to elaborate on the details. 

            Measure: Carbon Tracker

            Our footprint calculations are based on national data sets as the amount of CO2 emitted from a certain activity differs greatly between countries. We also use machine learning, smart functions, lifestyle input and more than 90 data sources in our methodology to calculate an accurate carbon footprint.
            Explain: Curated content
            All our content is derived from international scientific sources and reports. Our quiz and deeds are crafted by content creators who curate the latest findings in climate science and make it digestible. Thorough review processes are carried out on a yearly basis to ensure that our content remains fresh and relevant.
            Reduce: Gamification & Nudging
            Gamification is about using elements from the gaming world such as points and reward systems as a technique to engage and motivate people - even outside of a typical gaming environment. At Deedster, we use gamification because it is an effective and scientifically proven way of reinforcing positive behaviors and promoting behavioral change.
