Spotify Earth Day Challenge

At Spotify we want to be part of the solution when it comes to combating climate change.

Now we are taking our sustainability approach to the next level and will set ambitious reduction targets, to make our way to net zero emissions. Spotify also has an opportunity and responsibility as a global citizen to leverage our platform for good – so we encourage all of you to think about how we can be a part of the solution.

So let’s gear up with a climate challenge and see what new inspiration and ideas we can create! We have teamed up with climate-tech startup Deedster to guide us through our Earth Day Challenge.

Oh, and there are prizes to win too, for you and the planet.

Deedster Inside Sustainalytics

Spotify Earth Day Challenge

Play for the planet!

The world needs more climate action. Whether that’s by concrete actions or by educating yourself and others, every step counts.

In this Earth Day Challenge, we get the opportunity to learn more about the actions we take to make a difference, and what you can do yourself. We hope to give you a powerful and engaging experience to raise awareness in one of the most important matters of our time.

Collaboration is really key for us to make progress in the area of climate change. A very small part of our emissions are within our direct control so we need to work together with suppliers, peers and partners to drive change and to learn from each other. And with ourselves. Our hope is that you will join us in this.

During 2 weeks, we compete in doing good deeds for the planet, divided into teams. In Deedster, you calculate your own carbon footprint, get quizzed on sustainability, and do deeds to reduce your carbon footprint. The app’s scoreboard will help you keep track of your progress and the competition.

Here you can find more information about Deedster and the Deedster app’s features.
