The Exponential Roadmap Initiative
The Exponential Roadmap Initiative is for innovators, transformers, and disruptors taking action in line with 1.5°C, with the mission to halve emissions before 2030 through exponential climate action and solutions.
In announcing the partnership with the Exponential Roadmap Initiative, impact company Deedster joins the United Nations’ Race to Zero campaign, the largest ever alliance committed to taking rigorous and immediate action to halve global emissions by 2030 and deliver a healthier lifestyle, a fairer zero-carbon world in time.
In joining the Exponential Roadmap Initiative, Deedster commits to halving emissions before 2030 towards net-zero throughout the value chain, integrating climate deeply into business strategy, and influencing climate action in society, as outlined in the 1.5°C Business Playbook.
“Deedster exists to enable a shift to sustainable lifestyles and spark climate engagement among our corporate customer’s employees and consumers globally.
Exponential Roadmap Initiative and Race to Zero are unique projects focused on elevating climate action worldwide. We are thrilled to contribute to this critical work,” says Daniel Dellham, CTO and co-founder at Deedster.
“We are delighted that Deedster joins other front runners in climate action within the Exponential Roadmap Initiative. To halve global greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 requires radical collaboration.
We, therefore, bring together innovators, transformers, and disruptors with a common mission to halve global emissions by 2030 through concrete action.
To succeed, we need companies to shift towards providing suitable solutions for climate and nature and rapidly cut their emissions. But we also need to enable wealthy people to shift to sustainable, low carbon lifestyles, accelerating the demand for such solutions exponentially.
Deedster contributes by providing innovative solutions for companies and organizations that inspire people and employees to act for the climate every day”, says Johan Falk, Head of Exponential Roadmap Initiative and lead author of the Exponential Roadmap and the 1.5°C Business Playbook.
The 1.5°C Business Playbookis a guideline for companies and organizations of all sizes to exponential climate action, helping them align with the 1.5°C ambition. Anchored in the latest science, it focuses on simplicity and speed.
The Playbook is based on four pillars: to reduce the company’s emissions, value chain emissions, integration of climate into business strategy, and influence climate action in society. The Playbook is a spin-off from the Exponential Roadmap, a science-based cross-sector collaboration launched in 2018.
It highlights 36 solutions with exponential scaling potential to halve global greenhouse gas emissions by 2030. The roadmap shows how we can build a stronger, more resilient, and future-proof worldwide economy and increase human prosperity and health—within the planetary boundaries.
